The idea for the giveaway Quinces and Sweet Sixteens photo shoots all started in January of 2020 with the desire to give back to the community in any way possible as designers and event professionals. We teamed up with Curtiss Mansion in Miami Springs, FL and Miguel Ocque Photography to make this idea into a reality, starting off by compiling the list of the amazing vendors who helped facilitate the shoot. By the end of June, winners Camila and Isabella were chosen to partake in this incredible opportunity, and despite the challenges that COVID-19 and this global pandemic brought about, we were able to push through and create an experience of a lifetime for these two young ladies on July 22, 2020. As a special treat, Taylor Moxey of the Taylor Moxey Foundation spent some time with the girls and offered some inspiration. They danced and created some Tik-Tok content. The moms & vendors cried. It was truly a day we will not soon forget.
Camila wore a stunning pink gown & Isabella wore a dramatic black gown provided by Zayas Bridal. They had several photo opportunities with Taylor Moxey, who donned a stunning emerald pant suit. Exquisite jewelry pieces were provided by La Vie Bridal and the girls even had a crown named after each of them.
We had the opportunity to style for Camila in the living room at the historic Curtiss Mansion in Miami Springs, FL. We went with a stunning, room encompassing, floral installation. The inspiration was to bring the outdoors inside. We transformed the space, which measures 21' wide x 13' tall, into an indoor garden paradise. Our friends at Jet Fresh Flowers always provide us with the most stunning roses and fresh blooms. But the selection for this installation just seemed a bit more special than usual. Tons of greenery, including Smilax, Eucalyptus, Huck & Ivy crept up the walls of this massive room. While vibrant blooms, including Roses, Tulips, Hydrangea & Stock took their rightful places as the center of attention.
Isabella had is a lover of all things Harry Potter! Josh from The Event Factor took this to another level and brought in smokeless sparklers and Isabella was a Wizard for a day! He added some mysterious lighting and smoke and the magic truly began. Chris and Jeremy from The Bride Candy design a seperate installation for Isabello on the historic coral bridge. They also put together a beautiful luncheon for the girls along with Inspired Events and several other vendors, mentioned below.
Behind the scenes, the vendors were having a great time too. We're so happy to have had Elba from Dipp Photography on site capturing all those moments for us. She caught us working, laughing and crying tears of joy as we saw these two beautiful girls have their dreams come true. This was truly a team effort and were so grateful for everyone that was involved.
